The Cobb County Hall Pass offers subjects for student study including the “Great Locomotive Chase,” Funeral Symbolism and Paranormal Studies. These and other classes are part of the lesson plan for the Hall Pass, a student group’s ticket to unique educational experiences.
Students visit museums, battlefields, theme parks and other attractions for one discounted admission price. Try History 101 to learn what people did before iPods. Tackle Environmental Science and study cooking the 1830s way. Future business leaders can analyze company records at a machine works company, academics can research African-American history through 19th century church architecture, and lit scholars can test their book smarts by passing this pop quiz: Who wrote the 1936 Pulitzer Prize winning novel that still sells 350,000 copies a year?
Hall Pass electives include Xtreme P.E. Recess is held at Lake Acworth, and a lunch period has been scheduled.
